Entrepreneurship: Evolutionary Development - Revolutionary Impact
Questions being answered regarding Chapter 1:
- 1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?
- 2) Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
- 3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
- 4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
I feel that the "Myth 7: All Entrepreneurs need is luck "section could not be more accurate. I was inspired by the quote, "luck happens when preparation meets opportunity". I completely agree with this statement and believe that it is much more than luck - it is a combination of preparation, desire, determination, knowledge, and innovativeness that makes an Entrepreneur successful.
2. The most confusing part of the reading to me was the schools of entrepreneurial thought approach. The macro and micro view makes sense, but I was unsure about some of the context within those sections.
3. If I were able to ask the author two questions:
- How did you learn so much about Entrepreneurial Schools-of-Thought Approach?
- What types of ventures have you worked on in your experience?
I would ask these questions in order to have a better understanding of the Entrepreneurial Schools-of-Thought Approach and how they were determined, and also to learn about the author's ventures that lead him to the place he is today.
4. I don't have anything in particular that I felt the author was wrong about. I really enjoyed the "myths" associated with Entrepreneurship and very much agree with the authors perspective on these.
